About the experience

What is Le Japon en Lumières?

From December 10, 2025 to March 8, 2026, the Jardin d’Acclimatation unveils Le Japon en Lumières, the 3rd edition of its grand Lantern Festival!

This year, 2,000 luminous creations celebrate the soul of Japan—a land where ancient tradition and dazzling modernity meet. You are invited on a journey in three stages (with a few side paths!). Begin by entering l’Empire des Traditions, with majestic torii gates, wondrous temples, traditional costumes, silk umbrellas, and the imposing silhouettes of samurai.

The itinerary continues toward l’Odyssée Pop-moderne: get ready for an explosion of colors and neon lights. Tokyo’s energy comes to life here—kawaii little monsters, arcade games, and manga stand side by side for your delight.

Finally, make your way to the Jardin des Songes, where the serenity of Japanese nature reigns supreme: blooming sakura, koi fish, hot-spring macaques… and of course Mount Fuji, revealed under a magical glow!

The journey doesn’t end there: in the food court, discover the flavors and scents of Japan along with a few unmistakably French touches—mochis and ramen, hot chocolate and pretzels enjoyed under the stars. And to end the evening, take a ride on the Ferris Wheel, offering a magical view of Paris in celebration.

This winter, Japan comes to Paris, glowing across our pathways under 2,000 shimmering lanterns!
